By Marv Hermanstyne

Edge went to the top rope but he caught an uppercut to start the ten count. Edge got up and walked into a bodyslam. Kane went to the top and missed a flying clothesline. Edge hit an Impaler DDT to Kane and both men got up at the eight count. Kane chokeslammed Edge and the ref began the ten count.

Kane got up at the nine count and Edge went for the spear but he eat a big boot by Kane. Kane chokeslammed Edge into the announce table and the ten count began. Edge used Striker as leverage and Kane got pissed.

Kane grabbed three chairs and tossed them into the ring. Kane went to the top rope and Edge threw a chair at him. Edge grabbed a chair and smacked Kane’s knee on multiple occasions. Edge speared the shit out of Kane and grabbed another chair. He beat on the knee and he brought back the CON-CHAIR-TO!

Kane was squirmed to the ropes and didn’t make the ten count and therefore, Edge retained his title...

Mind of Marv: The Conchairto is one of my favorite moves the Rated “R” superstar and I’m glad he brought it back. I loved this match because Kane works better in this kind of match as opposed to a regular wrestling match. Both men busted their ass and I commend both men...easily a 4.5 out of 5 star match (considering Kane is in the match).

Kofi vs. Dolph for the IC title, next...[C]

[Q3] Both men made their entrances and highlights was shown of the IC title match from last week.

2. Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler to win the Intercontinental Title in 5:30. Kofi kicked the match off with strikes in the corner and Dolph countered out. Post match, Dolph hit the Zig Zag to Kofi and Vickie demanded that the match be restarted and Dolph gets a rematch because Teddy Long isn’t there.

3. Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler to retain the Intercontinental Title in :45. Dolph attacked Kofi and Kofi hit the sickest Trouble in Paradise to keep the belt...

Mind of Marv: This night is only getting better...this was a concise and excellent blowoff match between these two. This feud has ran its course and its good to see both of these men getting elevated. Kofi has enough opponents to feud with for the IC title and Dolph is ready for the main event...

[Q4] Vickie and Dolph argued backstage and Vickie called him a two time loser. Dolph said if that’s the best she got, she needs to find a new boyfriend. Vickie basically blew everyone’s eardrum with her screaming. Meanwhile, the Raw Rebound was shown...

Kelly Kelly and her puppies...eh...so yeah so she was walking backstage and Drew McIntyre came back with the weak ass game to Kelly and wished her good luck. Rhodes, Big Show and Drew McIntyre are in a triple threat match to determine the number one contender to the world title, next...[C]

Tough Enough will be returning in the spring. All three men came to the ring and Vickie added Dolph to the match to make it a fatal four way...

[Q5] 4. Dolph Ziggler defeated Big Show, “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, and Drew McIntyre in a fatal fourway to become number one contender to the to the World Heavyweight Championship in 14:00. Drew stomped Dolph and Cody clotheslined Drew outside of the ring. Cody and Dolph exchanged blows to the face until Drew clotheslined both men. Show tripped Drew off the ring and hit offense to Cody. Show spinebusted Dolph.

Out of nowhere, Wade Barrett attacked Show and afterwards, Cody hit a Beautiful Disaster kick to Show for a nearfall. Dolph hit Show with the Zig Zag for a nearfall. Drew hit the Future Shock on Show for a nearfall. Show threw Drew out of the ring for the 5,000th time. Dolph hit the Zig Zag to Cody for the win...[C]

Mind of Marv: Pretty good match to elevate Dolph. WWE is finally noticing that a former Spirit Squad member can be a main eventer. Kudos for Dolph for working his way up and he should be a great world champion in 2011. Smackdown is in dying need of some new blood in the main event scene and Dolph is the perfect candidate. Will they have the former husband vs. current boyfriend feud...oh lord, I spoke to soon.

[Q6] A Ezekiel Jackson vignette was shown and LayCool was already in the ring with those stupid Slammys...

4. Michelle McCool squashed Kelly Kelly in 1:40. McCool had the early advantage by working on Kelly’s knee. Kelly hit some nominal offense and went for the K2 but McCool hit the Faith Breaker for the quick win. Post match, LayCool beat on Kelly and Drew McIntyre came out and saved Kelly...[C]

Mind of Marv: Well, this was the only clunker of the night. Drew McIntyre is clearly being punished partaking in this angle with Kelly Kelly. It will lead to nothing but one or both of them getting released eventually. This show has been stellar, so no need to shit on this filler anymore...

[Q7] Del Rio made his entrance with a 1950s Jaguar...

Mind of Marv: Striker said that it was valued at $100K? He maybe a former teacher, but he’s dead wrong...that car at this current market value cost way more.

Del Rio introduced himself and said that he proved to R-Truth had no match for him and he will win the the Rumble, and main event Wrestlemania. He said he will destroy Rey Mysterio and he went on a rant about different types of Latinos...[C]

5. Alberto Del Rio defeated Rey Mysterio in a best of three falls match in 17:00. Del Rio got the early advantage by using the corners to throw Rey. Rey caught Del Rio with a kick and setup for the 619 early but Del Rio countered into his finisher to get the first fall...[C]

Del Rio got the first fall at 1:33.

The show returned at the 4:50 mark and Del Rio hit a tilt-o-whirl backbreaker for a nearfall. Del Rio tossed Rey out and he caught his balance. Rey hit a hurricarana to Del Rio and was favoring his wrist.

Rey hit a nice crossbody on Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez. Rey threw Del Rio back in the ring he tried to get back in the ring but Rodriguez held Rey’s leg and got him counted out...

Del Rio got the final fall at 17:00.

Post match, Rey Mysterio got bat shit crazy and beat the hell out of Ricardo Rodriguez. Rey hit a 619 on Ricardo and splashed on him. Del Rio did nothing but watch Ricardo get killed. Rey and Del Rio stared each other down. The announcers recapped Dolph’s number one contender’s victory and Wade Barrett’s appearance. Wade Barrett will face Big Show next week...

Mind of Marv: Another good match to settle this feud and I’m glad that Del Rio got the longer end of the straw in this long winded feud. If you do not like Del Rio, get your head examined because he is a star. The commerical breaks killed the momentum of the match, but its OK in my book. Overall, WWE got the point and probably got tired of my bitching about this brand needing some freshing up.

This was a quality show which included a blowoff to a useless title feud, a title change and two stars (Del Rio and Ziggler) being born with big wins tonight. This was simply a flawless show (no pun intended to LayCool and they were the only flaw). Chris Shore should have Members Exclusive Audio for the show and I may chime in, but its no guarantee.

Chris Shore will also have the Smackdown Hitlist tomorrow and you can follow me on Twitter @mrhermanstyne and I will see you next week...
