[Q1] The show kicked off with Kane’s promo from last week and how Edge abducted Paul Bearer afterwards. The opening montage aired...

Mind of Marv: For the record, Green Day sucks but not as bad as Nickleback.

Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio face each other in a Survivor Series Captain match. Del Rio came out in a classic jet black Rolls Royce and the traditional Survivor Series match was hyped. Del Rio introduced himself and said Survivor Series will be great because of him. He said that he will lead his team to victory and destroy Mysterio. Video of him beating Sgt. Slaughter from Raw was shown and MVP saving the day.

Del Rio called Slaughter an action figure and he made him cry. He said to everyone that he is their hero. MVP came out and got a nice pop. MVP said that Universe is tired of him disrespecting this ring and we’ve seen all of this before. Del Rio said there is no one like him and MVP put over all the Legends and the pumped up crowd noise took its toll...

Del Rio said that the only reason why the legends exist because MVP will never be one and he is already a legend. MVP challenged him to a match and Del Rio declined. Del Rio said that he will face Rey Mysterio instead and he told MVP that he can’t handle him. Del Rio said that Drew McIntyre will face MVP.

Mind of Marv: Strong opening segment to this show. This could be a nice main event level feud but it sucks that they are treating it like a mid-card, throwaway confrontation.

1. MVP defeated Drew McIntyre in 7:30. Both men exchanged blows and MVP got the advantage by throwing Drew. Drew returned the favor by throwing MVP into the security barrier. MVP dropped Drew on the railing. [C] [Q2]

The show returned with MVP tossing Drew on the ring ropes. Drew went outside of the ring and crawled under the ring. MVP like a dumbass, put his arm under the ring and Drew pulled his arm into the steel and started attacking the arm with an armbar and numerous submissions. MVP came back with a kick and punches. MVP hit a big boot for a nearfall. MVP hit a suplex and the Ballin’ Elbow to Drew. Drew botched a neckbreaker for a nearfall.

Drew missed a big boot and MVP finished Drew off with a running big boot...

Mind of Marv: Nice match between these two guys. Hopefully Drew doesn’t become a jobber now because his wife got future endeavored earlier...

Edge had his Mike Knox inpersonation with the beard and he was backstage torturing Paul Bearer. Edge said that no one will find them and maybe they will find Kane. Ede talked about having fun with Bearer and said that they should have a drag race in wheelchairs. Edge scooted off in the wheelchair making the funniest noise and continued to torture Bearer by suggesting other games. [C]

Mind of Marv: Edge has me LMFAO...

[Q3] The show returned with Chavo Guerrero asking for a IC title match and Kane busted in and asked Teddy Long where was Paul Bearer. They went back and forth about Bearer’s whereabouts and Teddy Long ran out. Kane destroyed the office...

2. Jack Swagger defeated Chris Masters in a Survivor Series showdown match via submission in 3:00. Swagger started technical, but Masters used his power to get the advantage. Swagger splashed on Masters for a nearfall. Masters hit a Samoan Drop to Swagger and he hit a shoulderblock off the ropes for nearfall. Masters applied the Master Lock on Swagger on the ropes but Swagger got out and slammed Masters knee into the ring roped and sholderblocked Master’s knee. Swagger won via the anklelock...

Mind of Marv: This was a crappy throwaway match but at least I didn’t have see that stupid Soaring Eagle today, thank God...

Meanwhile, Edge is still torturing Bearer by grabbing a soccer ball and playing dodgeball with it. Edge missed the first three times, but the fourth time he bashed his ass and said that was really using his head. [C]

Dolph Ziggler came out with a corny ass promo talking about Vickie being the hottest girlfriend in the world and how he is undefeated as the IC champion. He put himself over because he beat Mark Henry and said that Kaval is all hype because of the internet fans. Dolph said that Kaval’s chance of winning is basically zero...

3. Kaval defeated WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match in 2:00. Dolph got aggressive early but Kaval countered by throwing Dolph into the ring ropes and hit a standing moonsault for a nearfall. Both men exchanged rollups for nearfalls. Kaval applied a bridge to Dolph for the upset win...

Mind of Marv: What the hell was that? I’m glad that Kaval got his first win, but not in a two minute forgettable match. This ensures that Kaval is not going over on Sunday...ugh. This was an above average show so far but now I’m starting to lower my standards...

[Q4] Kaval challenged Dolph to a IC title match by using his NXT championship clause at the Survivor Series. [C]

The show returned with Edge still messing around with Bearer and he said that he ordered some pizza...

4. "Dashing" Cody Rhodes b. Kofi Kingston in Survivor Series showdown match in 10:15. Kofi smacked the hell out of Cody and Cody got apeshit crazy about his “Dashing” face getting smacked. He took his jacket and looked at himself and got more crazy. [C]

Mind of Marv: How many times has Cody Rhodes gotten smacked in his WWE career?

[Q5] The show returned with Cody stomping the hell out of Kofi for slapping his face. Kofi hit a leaping elbow to Cody for a nearfall. The match got technical with Kofi working on Cody’s neck and flipped him over. Cody got out of the ring and Kofi dropkicked him into the announce table. Cody hit two brainbusters and a knee to Kofi for a nearfall. Cody stretched Kofi out and punched him out.

Both men exchanged blows until Kofi hit his instant offense and a crossbody for a nearfall. Kofi hit the Boom Drop and setup for the TIP but Cody missed the Beautiful Disaster (inziguri kick form the ropes) and Kofi rolled Cody up for a nearfall. Cody grabbed Kofi’s dreads and tights and followed up with the Cross Rhodes...

Mind of Marv: Best match of the night so far. Both guys can put on a hell of a match and should make the match intersting on Sunday..but I have one question. Can you give me a reason to buy this PPV? These rapid fire, singles matches does ZERO for me...

Backstage, Kane was whining to Rosa Mendes and she looked petrified. Kane said that Edge doesn’t know anything about pain and torture. Kane said that Edge will get his guts ripped out and shoved down his throat...[C]

Mind of Marv: So you release Jillian Hall and keep the green Rosa Mendes? Weak.

The Smack of the Night was LayCool taunting Mae Young and Layla doing a job to Mae Young...sigh.

Mind of Marv: Why couldn’t McCool do a job instead of Layla? Blasphemy!

5. WWE Co-Divas Champions LayCool beat Natalya & Kelly Kelly. Kelly got her crappy offense on Layla and Nattie came back to Earth with some real wrestling and attacked McCool. LayCool hit a double big boot for the win...

Mind of Marv: You know what, I just stared at Layla for the match. As far as the match itself....I’ll let my road dog, Chris Shore provide his thoughts on the match.

[Q6] Edge was munching on a breadstick and Edge wasted the good food on Bearer...[C]

Backstage, Kane was overacting his ass off and he started to cry like a bitch...

Mind of Marv: This is the world champion crying like a pussy? This is terrible...

6. Big Show squashed Tyler Reks in a Survivor Series showdown match in 1:15. Reks hit a clothesline on Show for a nearfall. Show went on to dominate Reks with his offense and chokeslammed him for the win.

Mind of Marv: You build up Reks for all these weeks and you bury him by letting Big Show squash him? Kill me now...

Josh Mathews interviewed Alberto Del Rio and he asked if Del Rio can defeat Mysterio. Del Rio said that Rey will be a witness of his greatness and he will the WWE Universe's next hero...[C] [Q7]

Mind of Marv: Generic yet effective promo...

The announcers hyped the Free or Fired match at the PPV and the Survivor Series card was run down by the announce team. Edge brought Bearer to the arena and Bearer called for him. Kane ran and pushed people out of the way to get to him. Edge got on top of the van and jumped Kane. He said he doesn’t know if Bearer will look good in a Speedo but he knows that he can float...[C]

[Q8] 7. Rey Mysterio beat Alberto Del Rio via disqualification in 2:00. Del Rio started aggressive by attacking Rey in the corner but Rey used his quickness to get back on offense. Rey hit a sick knee to Del Rio for a nearfall. Rey went for the 619 but Del Rio ducked out. Team Del Rio attacked Rey and Del Rio got DQed.

Mind of Marv: The show has been the most overbooked for the week and I still have yet to watch TNA Impact for the week...sigh.

Team Mysterio came out and it was ruckus in the ring. Teddy Long came out and said Tthat Team Del Rio and Team Mysterio will face each other in a Battle Royal, next...[C]

8. Team Mysterio won a 10-man Battle Royal in 5:20. Show chopped up Del Rio and Reks for nice reactions. MVP and Rey double teamed Del Rio.

Cody Rhodes eliminated at 1:20.

Chris Masters eliminated at 2:00.

Drew and Del Rio double on Big Show but Show headbutted both men.

Tyler Reks eliminated at 2:45.

MVP dropped a knee on Del Rio and Drew eliminated Kofi Kingston at 3:40.

MVP eliminated at 4:00. Drew McIntyre eliminated at 4:20.

Alberto Del Rio eliminated at 4:45. Swagger applied the Ankle Lock on Rey and Show hit a big boot to Swagger. Rey hit a 619 and Show tossed Swagger over to get the win. Show and Mysterio was the survivors...

Mind of Marv: Throwaway battle royal to close this rather unappealing show. This show didn’t do a lot to sell the Survivor Series and for a big four PPV, I expected more but WWE continues to provide lameduck booking and produce shitty shows. I’m not happy with what this brand is providing me on a weekly basis. Hopefully the PPV can change my mind, but where do we go from here if nothing changes?
