[Q1] The opening montage kicked off the show and we got the explosion of fireworks. The SD team welcomed us to the show and we got a Summerslam rematch between Rey and Kane. The IC title rematch between Kofi and Dolph is later tonight. Taker will confront Kane later tonight…

Mind of Marv: Rey wants a rematch but not for the title? That's a head scratcher…

1. World Heavyweight Champion Kane beat Rey Mysterio in a non-title, no disqualification match in 9:25. Rey started with punches and kicks but Kane threw Rey outside of the ring. Kane dropped Rey on the security railing and tossed him back in the ring. Kane grabbed an kendo stick and Rey took it and smacked Kane with it three times. Rey ran with the stick but got clotheslined in the process.

Kane Irish Whipped Rey and applied a wrist lock. Rey fought off and tried an senton but Kane hit an big boot to Rey. Rey hit a drop toe hold to Kane on the stairs and he hit an sitting senton on Kane from the announcer's booth. [C]

The show returned with Kane hitting an uppercut from the top rope and applied an chin lock. Rey kicked Kane off and Kane caught Rey with a side slam for a near fall. Kane grabbed an chair and Rey knocked it off. Rey hit another seated senton and went for the 619 but Kane got up. Rey took the chair and smacked Kane in the back and hit the 619. Rey went for a other senton, but Kane caught him and chokeslammed him on the chair for the win…

Mind of Marv: Decent match but I don't want to see it again. Rey did a clean job two weeks in the row…what's this world coming to? WWE is finally makes Rey pay for being overrated…

[Q2] Alberto Del Rio came out after the match was over while Rey was attended to by the trainer. Del Rio showed some concern and said that Rey looked like a dying dog and grabbed him and threw him into the security railing. Del Rio applied his finisher to Rey and made Rey squeal like a pig and got some good ass heat…
Del Rio grabbed a chair and squeezed Rey's arm and threw him arm first into the ring post. He stood over him and smiled. [C]

Mind of Marv: Nice beatdown by Del Rio…he keeps earning points in my book!

The show returned with a replay of the beatdown of Rey by Del Rio. Punk and the SES came out to some good heat.

Mind of Marv: So sad that Serena got future endeavored for being human…

2. C.M. Punk squashed JTG in 2:00. JTG got some quick rollups early but Punk went into beast mode and just dominated. Punk hit the knee, bulldog, and GTS. He put the icing on the cake with the Anaconda Vice to end JTG's misery.

Mind of Marv: This had to be one of the best squashes of the year…

Post match, Punk to the SES to line up and get on their knees. He said his match is the way they supposed to dominate and he said to Gallows to leave Big Show in a pool of his own drool. He told them be better or be gone…

Mind of Marv: Punk rules, enough said…

[Q3] Backstage, Rosa Mendes had a shake weight and Teddy Long told her to keep up the good work on the workout. Long was reading the WWE Magazine and Hornswoggle was in the tree acting like an ass. Long asked Horny if he was spying on them. Horny play word association with Long and said that he was spying on LayCool. This mockery leads to a dreadful segment that consisted of Long and Horny coming up with a plan for Horny to work with him as a spy. [C]

Mind of Marv: Who wrote that shitty segment? If you know, please email me…

The Raw rebound was shown and Taker's return was hyped, again. The IC title match is next and if Dolph is disqualified, he will lose the belt. [C]

Q4] Another "Dashing" commercial was about shaving and he shaved his legs with an old school razor…

3. Kofi Kingston beat Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler via countout in 14:15. Kofi kicked the crap out of Dolph to start the match and he clotheslined and slammed his head into the security railing. Kofi clotheslines and covered Dolph for a nearfall. Kofi hit the Round High (formerly the SOS) for a nearfall. [C]

The show returned with Kofi missing a double leg drop when Dolph moved. Both men exchanged blows until Kofi took the advantage. Dolph hit a big boot in the corner for a nearfall. Dolph applied an submission and Kofi fought out. Kofi hit the Round High and thought he got a three count, but Dolph grabbed the rope. Kofi got frustrated and went for another cover for a nearfall.

Kofi ran into the ring post and Dolph covered for a nearfall. Dolph hit a nice neckbreaker for a nearfall. Vickie slapped Kofi and Dolph yelled at her. Dolph got multiple covers for a nearfall. Kofi got some chops in but Dolph catapult Kofi on the top rope and Kofi hit a jumping punch for a nearfall.

[Q5] Dolph oversold an crossbody by Kofi for a nearfall. Dolph hit a fireman's carry to Kofi for a nearfall. Dolph went for a Zig Zag but he missed. Vickie was trying to be a distraction, but Kofi caught Dolph outside of the ring. Both men fought outside of the ring and both men tried to get back in, but Kofi beat the count and Dolph didn't make it because Vickie held him back.

Kofi chased Dolph through the crowd and Taker returns later…[C]

Mind of Marv: Long match with a crappy countout finish. As much as I don't want to seem redundant, we may get this feud blown off at Night of Champions which would be shitty to my fellow Chicagoans, sigh…

The show returned with Kane's epic promo and Taker's return is still to come. Meanwhile, Jack Swagger came out for the invitational named after his father…[C]

They actually had graphics for this invitational? C'mon man…and the jobber from the 305 made his appearance. Swagger took this challenge seriously while MVP slapped him for being stupid.

4. Jack Swagger defeated MVP in a takedown challenge by disqualification in 2:17.

Swagger got the first take down at :10
Swagger got the second takedown at :42
Swagger got the third take down at 1:32

MVP slapped Swagger and got DQed…post match, Swagger made MVP tap to the ankle lock. Swagger gets to host the VIP lounge in the future.

Mind of Marv: These guys should've been booked better than this. Swagger was a weak world champ now he's reduced a meaningless program. MVP should've been a champion but because of backstage heat, he isn't shit anymore…


Backstage, LayCool was having a photo shoot and they were talking about Melina and the 900th Raw for Monday. Kaval told the guys to leave and McCool whispered something in Layla's ear. [C]

The China footage was shown and footage was shown Matt Hardy and Christian getting their head kicked in last week. Meanwhile, Alberto Del Rio came out to an old school car and his Spanish ring announcer needed some 5 hour energy for the introduction...

[Q7] 5. Alberto Del Rio squashed Carlos Sanchez in 2:30. Sanchez got some pity punches but Del Rio dominated and applied his finisher. Total Squash…

Mind of Marv: Del Rio goes from Rey Mysterio to an jobber? I guess…that finisher is still sick as hell…

Kelly Kelly was talking with Big Show and they are coming to the ring, next…[C]

6. Big Show (w/Kelly Kelly) squashed Luke Gallows (w/Straight Edge Society) in 2:25. Show dominated Gallows early in the matchup with chops and punches. Show chopped up Gallows some more and Kelly jumped Serena outside of the ring. Gallows attacked Show's knee but Show got up and knocked him out for the quick win.

Mind of Marv: Three squashes in one night? Well from the looks of things, I see this happening: Serena is already future endeavored, Gallows either becomes an jobber or he gets released, and Mercury will reunite with Morrison sometime down the road. As for Punk, he can be the man by him damn self. Kelly Kelly as a valet with Big Show is a nice pairing…

Taker returns, next…[C][Q8]

Taker made his 90 minute entrance to a huge pop…

Taker said he may look dead, but he's not dead, yet…but he is still the Deadman. He said this is still his yard. He said he want to make thing clear and he will never pardon the guilty and speaking of guilty, he talks about Kane. He said Kane is guilty of a betrayal that he will pay dearly for. He has what he calls an diseased soul and it has festered into a web of lies that he thinks that he thinks that he can fill his boots. He said the biggest lie is carrying his grail, the world heavyweight championship.

Kane came out and said the only one spinning an web of lies is Taker. He said he hears the weakness in his voice and he can see it. He denied being weak and delusional. He said he's not the phenom or his shadow. He said he would not have a problem dropping him on his head and the reality is that he is bigger and stronger than him. He said he is the dominant brother and he has nothing left to prove.

Taker said it’s a reason that he will always walk in his shadow because he called himself the Devil's favorite demon and he remembered that he built the house brick by brick and the devil still calls him sir. Taker said that Kane is not worthy of being champion or the power that he steals with the fear he has inspired. He said the Kane is not worthy of being his brother and he said that he taught him everything about evil, but he hasn't taught him everything.

Taker said when the fight starts, it's always going to end the same way. Kane said he knows that it ends the same way it did at Summerslam which is sprawls. He said that Taker will never rest in peace and he laughed to end the show…

Mind of Marv: Nice way to close the show with both brothers bickering, but being a long time viewer, I've saw this shit before just like all the matches we got in this show. It was Déjà vu for this episode of Smackdown and it proved why this show was utterly lackluster…
