WWE "ECW on SyFy" Hits

Ezekiel Jackson's turn: I'm lumping both the Regal/Goldust and tag team matches together here. Both matches were OK from a wrestling standpoint. But the big thing was moving the storyline forward. I liked everything that happened, except when Zeke walked out. I don't mind that he walked out, but it was illogical to stay for ten minutes only to bail at the last second for no real reason. I guess he was pissed Kozlov lost the momentum. It was just odd. Nevertheless, it was still good to see the goons doing something other than carrying Regal's robe.

Christian and Shelton Benjamin: For the first time in forever, ECW is getting a big push going into a PPV. The interaction between these two has been good, but I'm worried. These guys can steal the show. But the fact that they keep bringing it up again and again has me concerned that WWE will hold them down. I hope not, because this is the only match worth watching right now.

Vance Archer: Good job on the mic for Archer. The interview was weird as hell with the cut ins, but he was intense without sounding crazy. Now if they will just give him a real worker to go with, we can see what this guy really has.

WWE "ECW on SyFy" Misses

Trent Barrera and Caylon Croft: The match was terrible and really showed me nothing about these two. They are small--their combined weight was 425--so I'm not sure they have much chance in WWE. And their introduction promo with Tiffany left a lot to be desired. Still, if they can use them to break up the Cryme Tyme/Hart Dynasty never-ending feud they will be my favorite new wrestlers

The Abraham Washington Show: This thing has run its course. He isn't funny, and Atlas has overstayed his welcome. AW only generates heat when bashing the crowd, and then very little. This edition had hope. The poem from Ryder was really funny, and Rosa's was stupid funny. But the jumping on the couch went on way to long to be funny, and Ryder looked like a moron grinning and jumping. Time to put this show to pasture.

Overall Show: Not a terrible show, but it just left me flat. The ending was good with Zeke, but that was the high spot and it wasn't all that high due to how odd his leaving was. The hot rumor right now is that ECW is about to close up and be rebranded. Either way, let's hope the Tuesday show can get better soon.
