WWE NXT on the Syfy Network
Taped earlier tonight in San Jose, Calif.

[Q1] Footage from earlier today was shown. You have to see this to believe it. Michael Cole, dressed like a complete douche in a Miz shirt and Cena headband, played that game where you punch a speed bag and it measures how well you did so. Mathews beat Cole in the 'competition.' ...

The opening video aired and there were no fireworks to be found. Michael Cole and Josh Mathews welcomed us to the show. The ridiculously buff new announce girl introduced the Pros and Rookies. Cole verbally climaxed at the sight of The Miz.

Striker said Mark Henry would not be in attendance tonight because of what The Nexus did to him. Lucky Cannon looked like he was going to cry. The season finale of NXT will be in three weeks. Eliminations aplenty coming up...

Tonight's Rookie Challenge is the power of the punch. So, they will all play a video game. A wrestling punch isn't going to work here. Kaval kicked the bag and it didn't work out very well for him. McGillicutty set the bar high with his punch.

Both Percy Watson and Lucky Cannon punched the bag liked they have never thrown a punch in their life. Husky Harris almost missed the bag completely. Alex Riley won the competition...

Twill's Two Cents: Riley called himself the best athlete and that was why he won the competition. Good thing none of these guys are boxers.

They hyped tonight's elimination... [C]

Did you know? WWEShop.com ships to over seventy questions. Wow, they really scraped the bottom of the barrel with that one...

During the break, The Miz cut a promo on John Morrison regarding Team WWE. Miz wanted Morrison to ask him to join the team.

[Q2] Morrison said that was not going to happen. He wanted a match with Miz to prove why they do not need him on Team WWE. So, I guess we are getting Miz vs. Morrison tonight...

1. Kaval, Percy Watson, and Lucky Cannon defeated Michael McGillicutty, Husky Harris, and Alex Riley in 10:41. This was a rematch of last night's match. Solid mat wrestling from Watson and Cannon. Riley did a nice job getting heat from the crowd. Lucky hit a suicide dive over the top onto Riley on the floor... [C]

Riley regained the advantage for his team during the break. The heel trio worked over Lucky. Kaval looked great after making the hot tag. Chaos ensued and McGillicutty tried to hit his neckbreaker finisher, but Kaval moved. He hit the Warrior's Way for the win...

Twill's Two Cents: Nice showing for all six guys. Good to see Kaval finally get a win. Lucky had the suicide dive, but he even managed to do that blandly. He needs a gimmick overhaul big time because he can go in the ring. Besides Kaval, nobody really stood out.

Striker hyped the elimination... [C]

[Q3] A video aired hyping The Nexus vs. Team WWE at SummerSlam. The announcers hyped the SummerSlam card and said the Great Khali would likely not compete...

2. The Miz defeated John Morrison in a non-title match in 10:48. Nice back and forth early on. Miz missed his corner closeline and Morrison rolled him up for a two count. Morrison took Miz to the floor and had solid control of the match... [C]

[Q4] Miz focused his attack on the back of the neck of Morrison. Morrison was impressive while making his comeback. He hit a springboard shining wizard for a two count. Morrison missed a kick in the corner and held his ankle. Miz hit the SCF for the win...

Twill's Two Cents: Good match and a nice treat for those people watching NXT. Turn Morrison heel now. He has the persona where he can do all of his moves, but instead of popping the crowd, he can piss them off instead with how he does them and how he reacts. Nice win for Miz.

The elimination is next. Who is going home? ... [C]

Striker asked the Rookies who should eliminated. McGillicutty and Kaval said Lucky. Percy said Alex Riley. Lucky said everyone but him. Husky said Lucky. Riley said Striker because he asks stupid questions. Awesome. He then said McGillicutty...

[Overrun] Kaval was ranked number one, McGillicutty number two, Watson number three, and Husky number four. Riley and Lucky stepped up. Riley came in at number five and Lucky was eliminated.

Striker asked Lucky about Kaval. He said he was not going to go there. Lucky cut a horrible promo. He went 'Half Baked' and said, "I'm not going to flip out." He then thanked everyone for the opportunity...

Twill's Two Cents: The right guy got eliminated. Lucky said he wanted it more than anyone. I hate it when people say that. Who is he to say he wants it more than Riley, Husky, Kaval, or anyone else?

Riley closed out the show with a damn good promo about how he will become a future WWE Champion. Next week, there will be two eliminations...

Thank you for following along with me. See you back here next week.
