WWE Main Event on ION
Taped on 6/4 in Uniondale, New York.

The opening video aired, followed by the pyro, and Josh Matthews, The Miz, and Ricardo Rodriguez welcomed us to Main Event. Sheamus's music hit immediately and ring introductions occurred for the first match…

1. Sheamus vs. Antonio Cesaro. Both men just brawled around without either man gaining an advantage. Cesaro hit a gut wrench slam. Sheamus hit a power slam. The fight spilled to the floor and Sheamus slammed Cesaro into the wall. He rolled Cesaro back in the ring and stood on the apron. Cesaro fought out and whipped Sheamus into the post. He followed with a running kick to knock Sheamus to the floor…[C]

Back from commercial, Cesaro hit a back drop and stayed in control. Out of nowhere, Sheamus hit a backbreaker that started his comeback. Sheamus hit his clubbing forearms and lifted Cesaro. Cesaro slid out and hooked the crossface chicken wing. Sheamus drove Cesaro back into the corner and lifted him for the Finlay roll. Sheamus went to the top for his shoulder tackle, but Cesaro hit the Very European Uppercut for two.

Cesaro hit a top rope knee drop for two and went back to the chicken wing. He wrestled Sheamus to the ground and leg scissored the body. Sheamus wiggled around until he was able to get his foot on the rope for the break. Cesaro setup for the Neutralizer, but Sheamus lifted him and slammed him into the corner. He followed with a poorly aimed Brogue kick for the win…

Sheamus defeated Antonio Cesaro at 15:25.

The announce team teased a recap of the McMahons on Raw…[C]

Shore's Slant: Pretty good match. The kick hit Cesaro in the chest instead of the face and made it look weak, but it wasn't a mortal sin.

A video recapped the McMahons vs. Triple H angle from Monday. The announce team showed a graphic of Hunter and Axel, but did not announce a match. The Usos made their ring entrance…[C]

Miz hyped Randy Orton and Team Hell No on Miz TV on Smackdown…Rhodes Scholars were out next…

2. The Usos vs. Rhodes Scholars. The Usos dominated the match early. One of the Usos went to the top rope for a splash on Sandow, but Cody pulled him from the ring. So the Uso hit the splash on the floor instead…[C] Back from commercial, Miz and Josh Matthews traded barbs about being on reality shows. Compelling television folks. Rhodes hit a neckbreaker to finally give the heels a chance for some offense, but it lasted about 90 seconds before the Usos started their comeback. Rhodes hit a disaster kick for a brief hope spot, but the Usos hit the top rope splash for the win…

The Usos defeated Rhodes Scholars at 13:22.

Shore's Slant: I really want to care about the tag division, but they have done too much damage to all of the teams in the division for this win to be meaningful in anyway. Anyone they bubble up like this is only getting fed to the Shield anyway.

A video recapped Ryback's attack on John Cena from Raw…Justin Gabriel made his ring entrance…[C]

3. Justin Gabriel vs. Kurt Hawkins. Hawkins took a quick lead so Gabriel could come right back and hit the 450 splash for the win…

Justin Gabriel defeated Kurt Hawkins at 3:37.

Shore's Slant: I didn't even realize Hawkins was still on the roster. Other than the star power, this show feels just like Superstars used to feel. Thanks for watching along with me tonight.
