Main Event on Ion Television
Taped 4/1/13 in Washington, D.C.

[Q1] JBL joined Michael Cole on commentary…

Wade Barrett made his entrance and joined the commentary team…

1. The Miz vs. The Prime Time Players. Miz went right after Darren Young and attempted to apply the figure-four leglock within the first forty seconds of the match. Young crawled to the ropes and retreated to the floor as the show went to commercial…

[C] Back from the break, Titus O'Neill was in control and he threw Miz around the ring. Young tagged back in and Miz regained control. Mizx got some offense in, but he kepy getting distracted by Barrett on commentary. The heels capitalized on Miz' short attention span and worked quick tags to wear Miz down.

Miz eventually found his second wind and hit Young with the Reality Check for a near fall…

[Q2] [C] Once again, O'Neill was tearing into Miz out of the break. Young tagged in, Miz got the upper hand, and put Young away with the figure-four leglock.

The Miz defeated The Primetime Players in 18:31.

Miz and Barrett stared each other down after the match…

Ryan's Reaction: Simple match that went on longer than it needed to to take up time. That's not a terrible problem considering the format of these short shows before WrestleMania, but it's still not entertaining to see an entire segment of a match repeated.

[C] A replay of CM Punk attacking Undertaker and pouring the urn's ashes out aired…

The announcers immediately shifted gears and set up a replay of the Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Brock Lesnar segment from Raw…

[Q4] [C] Cole hyped Diddy performing at WrestleMania…

WWE replayed Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger's promo on the streets of Washington…

Matt Striker interviewed Big Show and asked if Show was turning over a new leaf. Show said that's the last thing his tag partners need him to do; they need him at his most vicious come WrestleMania… [C]

The show concluded with a video package chronicling The Rock and John Cena's feud…

Ryan's Reaction: There we are. It's disappointing to see only the top feud get an actual WWE productions video package. It was well done as always, but WWE tends to work that magic for all of the upper card matches. It makes these shows at least somewhat worth watching. As it stands, they went the replay route and it didn't have as much entertainment value. Anyway, the overall show wasn't that memorable but it's what was to be expected with WrestleMania looming.
