WWE NXT on WWE.com
Taped on 3/28/2011 in Chicago, Ill.

The opening video aired and Matt Striker stood in the ring and introduced the rookies as Todd Grisham and William Regal welcomed us to NXT. The rookies stood at the bottom of the ramp and Striker showed the redemption point total with Darren Young at seven and Titus O'Neal with five. No one else has any.

Striker introduced the arm wrestling challenge. He said they were using a clock this year, and the fastest winner would get a bye in the semi-finals. Darren Young and Byron Saxton were first and Young won at 23.7 seconds. Lucky Cannon and Conor O'Brian were next. Cannon used hand sanitizer after touching O'Brian, and then squirted it in his eyes to get disqualified at 8.7 seconds.

Titus O'Neal and Jacob Novak were next. Novak jumped the gun at two and they had to redo it. O'Neal let Novak get almost all the way down and then just powered his ass over to win in a little over three seconds. O'Brian beat Young, and the bravely fought O'Neal, but O'Neal won the four redemption points…[C]

Shore’s Slant: Titus O'Neal won the arm wrestling challenge. Huh. Maybe these contests are legit to some degree.

A Darren Young hype video aired…The new hype video for Undertaker vs. Triple H aired.

Shore’s Slant: That video is OFF THE CHARTS! Wow. Seriously, just wow. Go find it. Now.

Back from commercial, son of a bitch. Back from commercial, a video recapped Snooki being on WrestleMania 27…The Raw Rebound video was a recap of Rock v. Cena vs. Miz…

Shore’s Slant: I gotta tell you, the production team really made Cena sound better than he did last night. I liked his stuff much better tonight. It still annoys me that he's Chuckles the Clown for weeks and then suddenly the Terminator in a Predator suit.

A video replayed the HHH/Undertaker/HBK segment from the time Shawn's music hit…[C]

1. Titus O'Neil, Byron Saxton, and Conor O'Brian defeated Darren Young, Lucky Cannon, and Jacob Novak at 6:30 . The pros stayed on the stage. Cannon and O'Brian started. O'Brian got the early advantage and worked the arm. He tagged in O'Neil, and have I mentioned how much I hate people with apostrophes in their names?

Young tagged in and O'Neil hit a hip toss on him and then tagged Saxton. Young drove Saxton into the corner and worked elbows and turnbuckle shots. He tagged in Novak, who stomped Saxton in the corner.

Cannon tagged back in and worked the back and leg on Saxton. He slammed him back into the corner and tagged in Young. Young stomped Saxton in the corner until he ref broke and the heels worked on Saxton as Titus tried to come in.

Novak tagged back in worked a chinlock on Saxton. Saxton escaped and made a diving tag to Titus. Titus killed everybody and hit a powerslam on Novak. Young broke the tag, so O'Brian clotheslined him over the top rope. Titus hit his finisher for the win. The show went off the air before Regal and Grisham could say goodbye…

Shore’s Slant: Wrestle by numbers match to end the show. Titus is a bore in the ring. I mean a real snoozer. I haven't been bored this much since Orton vs. Hunter at WrestleMania 25. Not a bad match, but not one I'm going to remember even tomorrow. I'll have more to say then on the hitlist. Thanks for reading and I'll see you then.
