Superstars on WGN America
Taped in Dallas and Houston, Texas.

[Q1] The opening video aired, followed by Chris Masters's music, and Jack Korpela and Matt Striker welcomed us to Superstars. They hyped the John Cena response to Rock from Raw for later, and a video package recapped Reks's attack on Masters last week…

1. Chris Masters vs. Tyler Reks. Masters went right at Reks to start and almost hooked the Masterlock. Reks escaped to the floor and punched his way back in the ring. He hit several slams on Masters and then whipped him to the corner. Masters kicked Reks in the face and then clotheslined him over the top rope. Masters slammed Reks on the stairs and lifted him, but Reks slid out and shoved Masters into the ring post…[C]

Back at 7:26, Reks worked a single leg crab on Masters, but Masters made the rope. Master's reversed a DDT attempt into a Samoan Slam to take control. Masters hit a spinebuster for two, but Reks reversed a clothesline into a front Russian leg sweep. Reks lifted for his finisher, but Masters slid out and hooked the Masterlock for the win…A Chaperone hype video aired…

Shore's Slant: Fail. We've only seen this match 600 times in the past few weeks and Masters continues to go over. I can’t imagine WWE sees more in Masters than Reks, but maybe they do. I sure don't, and the wrong guy went over here. Also, my kids said The Chaperone was pretty good, but their my kids so genetics are working against them.

[Q2][C] Back from commercial, Scott Stamford and Josh Matthews took over on commentary and setup the video that recapped "Stone Cold" Steve Austin becoming the special ref for Michael Cole vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler…The announce team hyped the mix tag for the main event for later…The Sin Cara hype video aired…

Shore's Slant: Michael Cole was fantastic on Monday in that bit. As was Stone Cold and JBL. Just a fun segment.

[Q3][C] 2. Zack Ryder (w/Primo) defeated Vladimir Kozlov (w/Santino Marella and Tamina) at 2:57.. Kozlov hit a fireman's carry into a takedown and continued to toss Ryder all over the ring. He tossed him to the floor and then went to the floor himself and rolled Ryder back in the ring. Ryder got a few blows, but Kozlov went right back to the mauling. Primo jumped on the apron, but Santino pulled him down. Ryder slid off and hit a chinbuster followed by the Rough Ryder for the win…The HBK video talking about Triple H aired…[C]

Shore's Slant: Wow, Ryder went over. Good for him. What else can I say?

[Q4] A video recapped the latest in the Rock vs. John Cena vs. Miz angle…Mark Henry, The Great Khali and Natalya made their ring entrance…

3. Mark Henry, The Great Khali and Natalya defeated Tyson Kidd, William Regal and Melina at 3:05. Melina and Natty started. Melina tried for a dropkick, but Natty reversed into a Sharpshooter attempt. Melina went at Natty and they rolled around. Kidd tagged himself in and he dismissed the Divas. Natty tagged in Henry and Kidd punched him.

Henry looked at him and Kidd tagged Regal and ran. Henry hit a headbut on Regal and tagged in Khali. Khali clubbed Regal, but Regal managed to hit a few strikes and stun Khali. Kidd tagged himself in and dismissed Regal. He punched Khali and Khali just looked at him. Kidd tried to tag back out, but both Melina and Regal moved away. Khali hit the chop and Khali bomb for the win. Post-match, Everybody, including the women, hit finishers on Kidd…

Shore's Slant: Put Kidd on the FE list I guess. What a snooze fest this match and whole show was. I don't even know what to say. Whatever it is, it'll be tomorrow on the hitlist. Thanks for reading and I'll see you then.
