WWE Main Event on ION
Taped on 2/26 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma..

[Q1] Backstage, Cody Rhodes and Kaitlyn bumped into each other and started flirting. Sheamus walked up and called him Magnum P.I. Cody got pissed and challenged Sheamus to a match. Sheamus tried to blow him off as already beating him. Cody said he would win tonight. Sheamus granted the match and Cody told Kaitlyn to watch. He said the Lovestache would strike back tonight and Kaitlyn laughed…

Shore's Slant: Fun opening. I like the Kaitlyn and Cody Rhodes combo for some reason. They have good chemistry in an awkward way. I hope it continues.

The opening video aired, followed by the pyro, and Michael Cole and Jerry "The King" Lawler checked in on commentary. Sheamus made his entrance. Cody was out next…

1. Sheamus vs. Cody Rhodes. Sheamus spent the first two minutes toying with Cody before hitting a suplex for two. The fight spilled to the floor and Sheamus slammed Cody on the announce table. He rolled Cody in the ring but ate a Disaster kick when he tried to climb in…[C]

Cody hit a side Russian leg sweep and stalked Sheamus. He hit a nasty looking knee, but Sheamus kicked out at one. Cody yelled at Sheamus about his moustache and Sheamus powered up and hit the Irish Curse. Sheamus started his comeback. He tossed Cody over the top and Cody skinned the cat, so Sheamus clotheslined him back over and hit his clubbing forearms in the ropes, followed by a suplex into the ring.

[Q2] Sheamus went to the top and hit the battering ram for two. Cody slipped out of a White Noise lift and Sheamus charged. Cody moved and Sheamus did the post spot on his shoulder. Cody went to the top and hit a standing moonsault for two. Sheamus caught Cody's leg and went for the Cloverleaf. Cody kicked away and hit a running knee to take control again.

Cody wasted no time in going for CrossRhodes. Sheamus slid out and went for the Brogue kick. Cody ducked and Sheamus got tied up on the ropes. Cody went for the Disaster kick and Sheamus ducked in a great spot. Sheamus freed his leg and hit the Brogue kick for the win…

Sheamus defeated Cody Rhodes at 12:56.

The announce team hyped some replay of CM Punk vs. John Cena from Monday night…Mark Henry was shown walking backstage…[C]

Shore's Slant: Wow, that was seriously good. In light of the fact they hyped showing replays of Punk vs. Cena from Raw I will refrain from calling this match great, but it was very good and Cody looked as good as you can in defeat. This was just a well wrestled match. Check it out if you haven't yet.

Mark Henry made his ring entrance as a video showed him killing Khali. Justin Gabriel was out next…

2. Mark Henry vs. Justin Gabriel. Gabriel hit some quick kicks, but Henry hit a head-butt and started kicking Gabriel while screaming at him. God I love his gimmick. Henry slammed Gabriel around and screamed at him to fly. Gabriel slipped away and started hitting kicks. He went for a crossbody, but Henry caught him and tossed him over the top rope. Gabriel landed on the apron and jumped back in the ring over Henry. He tried the crossbody again, and Henry caught him again. Henry hit a powerslam, corner splash, and the World's Strongest Slam for the win…

Mark Henry squashed Justin Gabriel at 4:39.

Shore's Slant: Good match that made Henry look like a total badass. Gabriel plays the rag doll very well, and Mark Henry is just a monster. His character might be the best heel in the industry not named CM Punk. If the rest of this show is replays, I will list was videos were played, but I'm not doing play by play on them. You can check out Jason Powell's Raw report for his thoughts.

[Q3][C] A Ryback hype video aired…Backstage, Cody threw a fit and then saw Kaitlyn. She said, "The mustache doesn't give up." They shared another awkward moment and she walked off. Cody started to call after her, but didn't…A video recapped the opening segment of Raw where Brock Lesnar and Triple H began their feud again. Triple H's Tout played after that…[C]

[Q4] A video replayed the majority of CM Punk vs. John Cena from Monday night. The show took one commercial break during the video…

Shore's Slant: They played the vast majority, if not all of that match. Normally I would crap all over this, but this is the network TV show so it makes sense. Plus it was so good, why not get all you can out of it? See the Sheamus and Cody match. Thanks for watching along with me tonight.
