Main Event on Ion Television
Taped earlier in Worcester, Massachusetts.

[Q1] 1. Kofi Kingston vs. Curtis Axel. Kingston outpaced Axel in the early going. Axel got some licks in, but Kingston regained the upper hand with a suicide dive.

Axel caught a pendulum kick attempt from Kingston before dropping Kingston with an elbow drop. Axel put on his best attempt at a crazy face… [C]

Back from the break, Axel hit Kingston with a Saito suplex and continued to work Kingston's neck.

[Q2] Kingston began making his comeback off of a springboard dropkick. Kingston worked through a bit of his offense but Axel regained the upper hand. Kingston charged for Trouble In Paradise, missed and hit the steel post, but managed to roll Axel up for the surprise pin.

Kofi Kingston defeated Curtis Axel in 13:20 of TV time.

After the match, Ryback made his entrance, walked around the ring, and back up the ramp without incident…

A recap of Randy Orton attacking Cena's dad and an interview between Michael Cole and Triple H about the attack aired… [C]

Ryan's Reaction: The match was ok. Good display from Kingston, but it's hard for me to get invested in Axel's current act. He flitters between a crazed look like looks incredibly forced and a cocky demeanor he in which he doesn't seem completely invested. He's solid with his work, but he can't maintain a credible character to save his life.

2. Damien Sandow vs. Sin Cara. Sandow wasted no time in going on offense. Sandow hit the Elbow of Disdain early for a two count.

Sandow locked in a rest hold and Sin Cara slipped out and got in a few flashy maneuvers. Ryback made his entrance again and did the same thing he did early.

[Q3] Sandow hit You're Welcome out of nowhere for the pinfall victory… [C]

Damien Sandow defeated Sin Cara in 4:28.

Ryan's Reaction: Short match that got overshadowed by whatever they're having Ryback do. I am glad that Sandow is being allowed to become more of a serious character, and I hope we get more of his submission-based offense that we saw Sandow work against Cena on Raw.

A recap of the WWE Network unveiling aired…

Backstage, Brad Maddox ran into 3MB and told them that he didn't like them or the team they were facing, and he had them in a handicap match simply so he wouldn't need to be around them for a time.

Wade Barrett made his rise on his lift and banged his gavel. Barrett said that when he made his entrance into the Royal Rumble, there would be a mass exodus, much like the mass exodus from the local zoo into the seats of the arena…

Ryback did his entrance bit again…

[Q4] [C] 3. 3MB vs. The Primetime Players in a handicap match. 3MB took an early advantage and overwhelmed Darren Young. Young rolled up McIntyre out of nowhere for the pin.

The Primetime Players defeated 3MB in 2:00.

Brad Maddox made his entrance and said that the match wasn't fair, so he was evening the odds…. [C]

4. 3MB vs. Los Matadores and El Torito. Los Matadores controlled the early going. 3MB got the better of Diego, but he managed to get the tag off to El Torito.

Torito worked his quick offense to overwhelm 3MB before tagging in Fernando. Los Matadores hit their tag finisher on Mahal to pick up the quick victory…

Los Matadores and El Torito defeated 3MB in 3:38.

Ryback did his bit one last time…

Ryan's Reaction: This show was a mess. They simply tried to cram too much into one hour, and the Ryback bit was overdone. Normally Main Event has a segment or a match that is worth going out of your way to see, but this one wasn't one of them.
