Superstars on WGN America
Taped in Albany and Rochester, N.Y.

[Q1] The opening video aired, followed by the Yoshi Tatsu's music, and Scott Stamford and Josh Matthews welcomed us to Superstars as Tatsu and Darren Young made their entrance. The Usos were out next…

1. The Usos defeated Yoshi Tatsu and Darren Young at 5:42. Jay and Young started. Young took early control with shoulder blocks and scored a near fall before tagging Tatsu. Jay tagged in Jimmy and Tatsu hit a crucifix rollup for two and tagged in Young. Young ate a foot in the corner and the Usos took control.

The Usos worked in and out on Young. Young finally made the hot tag and Tatsu cleaned house. Jay took Young out and Jimmy tossed Tatsu from the top rope. Jimmy followed with the big splash for the win…The NXT recap video aired…The announce team hyped Tyler Reks vs. Chris Masters…[C]

Shore's Slant: Decent opening match. Young is terrible in the ring, but I think the point here is to build the Usos to a match against the tag champs to play off the Tamina angle.

[Q2] David Hart Smith made his ring entrance. William Regal was out next…

2. William Regal defeated David Hart Smith at 12:18. They started with some arm chain wrestling. Smith even did a kip up in the process. Matthews and Stamford bantered in an attempt to piss me the hell off. Smith almost missed a drop kick and Regal fell to the floor. Smith followed and hit a shoulder tackle. Stamford assured us we were watching a donnybrook…[C]

Back at 6:17, Smith finished the stall suplex on Regal. Regal rolled to the floor and dragged Smith to the corner. He rammed the leg on the post and Regal worked the leg. Regal worked a cross half crab as the announce team talked about Matthews's Twitter. Regal grabbed a double underhook, but Smith back dropped out. Nice. Smith tried for a northern lights suplex and the powerslam, but the leg wouldn't hold. Regal hit the knee trembler for the win…The announce team hyped the main event…

Shore's Slant: Wow, good old school match that I really enjoyed. It wasn't flashy and high flying, but it made a lot of sense and reminded me of how good Regal is. The wrong guy won here, but I really enjoyed this match nonetheless.

[Q3][C] A Randy Orton hype video aired…Matt Striker and Jack Korpela took over on commentary and setup the Raw Rebound video…Masters made his ring entrance…[C]

[Q4] 3. Tyler Reks defeated Chris Masters at 13:27. Masters took early control and hooked the Masterlock on the apron. Reks dropped to the floor and racked the arm on the rope…[C]

Back 7:19, Reks worked the shoulder and arm. Masters tried to come back but Reks kicked the arm and then hit a hammer lock slam. Reks tried to rack the arms on the post, but Masters pulled Reks face first into the post. Masters hit a spinebuster and tried for the Masterlock but the arm was too weak. Reks hit the burning hammer for the win…

Shore's Slant: Plodding match to close the show. I like Reks, but Masters just doesn't do anything for me. I know a lot of people dig him as a face, but I just can't believe the people that were cut compared to him. I'll have more to say tomorrow on the hitlist, thanks for reading and I'll see you then.
