As most everybody knows by now, Linda McMahon has resigned as the CEO of WWE in order to turn her full attention to the United States Senate. She knew she was running against Chris Dodd. However, Economist Peter Schiff is also considering running for Dodd's seat.

Schiff is best known for his predictions regarding the U.S. economic crisis years before it happened. Like Linda McMahon, Schiff is not a career politician either, but his economic expertise is something he is really pushing, especially in these tough economic times, as his strength if he does indeed decide to run.

The Los Angeles Times ran a story this morning regarding McMahon running for Senate. They later edited it to say Schiff was considering running himself. Twill's Two Cents: A buzz term I've already heard a lot is "fiscal conservative." I heard Linda referred to as one and the same about Schiff. If Linda plans to use her business and financial success as her top strengths, I have a feeling Schiff is going to run away with this thing if he decides to run. Schiff is still undecided, but has already raised over a million dollars for his campaign.
