Jim Ross comments on whether or not Edge will be healthy for WrestleMania, the history between Bret Hart and Jerry "The King" Lawler, and rumors of Dwayne Johnson hosting WWE Raw
Jan 6, 2010 - 03:04 PM

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights.

-Ross on Edge returning before WrestleMania: "I do understand that Edge is healing well from Achilles tendon surgery but it has always been a photo finish as to whether or not Edge will be able to wrestle at the end of March. I hope so and would hope that it would be Edge vs. Jericho."

Twill's Two Cents: Based on everything I've heard, I wonder if Edge will be healthy enough to work a singles match at Mania. Because of his health, I would rather see Edge and Christian vs. Chris Jericho and Big Show at Mania.

-Ross on Bret Hart and Jerry Lawler: "It was cool that Bret singled out Jerry Monday night regarding the 1993 King of the Ring held in Dayton where yours handled the play by play. I wouldn't mind seeing a reprise of Hitman vs. the King some day but I won't hold my breathe on that match ever being made. I do think that Jerry Lawler should be in a match at Wrestlemania 26 for the first time in his career."

Twill's Two Cents: As each WrestleMania comes and goes, one has to wonder if Lawler will ever get a match on the big show. I supposed Bret vs. Lawler would have drawn some interest, but Bret vs. Vince McMahon is the money match.

-Ross on rumors of Dwayne Johnson hosting Raw: "Others continue to hound me when Dwayne Johnson is returning to Raw and I simply do not know. I thought he was once tentatively scheduled for January but travel and other commitments eliminated that opportunity."

Twill's Two Cents: I feel bad for Ross for some of the questions he is forced to answer over and over again, despite the fact that he constantly points out that he doesn't know the answer. As for Johnson, hopefully they work out another time he can host the show.

Other topics include Steve Austin and Raw, flying to the funeral of Steve Williams, and his opinion of Donald Trump.
