The story notes that WWE officials declined to say whether Mike Knox was the performer in question. The story also mentions the Benoit family tragedy and Chase Tatum's recent death. Their approach is odd given that Knox's name has already been mentioned in other media stories and the shoebox filled with Knox's personal documents—including two signed WWE contracts, bills, and medical prescriptions—were found next to the shoebox that contained the syringes and performance-enhancing drugs.
