Jim Ross talks about Bret Hart and his return to WWE, Brock Lesnar and whether he thinks Brock will fight again, and changes within the wrestling business
Dec 18, 2009 - 03:38 PM

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights.

-Ross on Bret Hart: "Bottom line is that if Bret Hart returns to WWE that, in my opinion, it will be on Monday Night Raw, it will commence on Monday January 4 and that it will culminate in something big at WM26."

Twill's Two Cents: Understandably so, JR had a lot to say about Bret Hart. If Bret was willing and able to return to the ring, it would be mind boggling if WWE did not build this as a huge WrestleMania event.

-Ross on Brock Lesnar returning to the Octagon: "He will have to change his diet to a significant degree for the rest of his life but I still see Brock most likely returning to the Octagon. Perhaps not in 2010 and, if so, it would be late in 2010. If Frank Mir wins the interim title, expect Lesnar to be even more motivated to return and physically destroy Mir as Brock did in their last encounter."

Twill's Two Cents: I like that Ross is being positive about Brock returning. I've been worried that perhaps he will not ever be healthy enough, but as a huge Lesnar fan, I hope Ross is correct and we will see him back in the Octagon, hopefully fighting Frank Mir, in a year from now.

-Ross on the progression of the business: "Come to think of it, lots of things have changed within the wrestling business, many for the better, but even to the point that some don't feel comfortable with the genre being referred to as pro wrestling. Rasslin, ' in particular, has become a dirty word in some circles which I find somewhat laughable."

Twill's Two Cents: Ross is correct here. "That word" is taboo in WWE TV and you have to think that if Vince McMahon had to change the name of the company again, he would eliminate the word "wrestling" all together.

Other topics include a Facebook page for JR's Family Bar B-Q, much more on Bret Hart, and the Legend's Roundtable.
