Dot Net WWE News: A wrestler asks for his release, gets a raise, and now rarely gets booked
Dec 9, 2009 - 08:24 AM |
WWE wrestler Charlie Haas asked for his release within the last few months. Although WWE officials were initially willing to grant him the release, they changed their minds and opted to give him a raise instead. However, Haas has been used infrequently since then.
Powell's POV: The buzz is that Kurt Angle had a role in mind for Haas in TNA, and WWE opted to re-sign Charlie rather than let him jump to the competition. However, I heard a variation of this story weeks ago, so I don't believe WWE's concern with Haas going to TNA is related to the Hulk Hogan signing.
Dot Net members received the first look at this news earlier this week. They are currently reading a story about the paranoia that exists behind the scenes in TNA, and listening to the 50-minute Q&A audio in which I answered their pro wrestling questions.
