Former WCW announcer comments on Ric Flair's retirement
Apr 7, 2008 - 12:16 PM

Former WCW color commentator Mark Madden wrote a column regarding Ric Flair's retirement. "Having worked in the business, I’m as jaded as a wrestling fan can be," Madden writes. "But when Shawn Michaels had Flair pinned at WrestleMania, I lifted my shoulder even as I sat watching on my living-room couch, trying to make Ric kick out one last time. That’s how much Ric Flair still makes me believe." To read the full column, visit TimesOnline.com.

Powell's POV: Madden is a long-time Flair fan and has plenty of nice things to say about Naitch in this column. Madden, who is a popular sports radio show host in Pittsburgh, even questions why Flair retired when he's still so good in the ring and more over than most wrestlers.
