Jim Ross wonders why people don't think he could end up back on WWE Raw, provides and update on Steve "Dr. Death" Williams, WWE Legends Roundtable
Nov 30, 2009 - 06:44 PM

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights.

-Ross on where he'll work when he's ready to return to television: "Still don't understand why so many folks think that I will automatically go back to Smackdown upon my return to travel in 2010. There are many steps that have to be taken to get back to that place. Assuming the WWE and I work out a new contract, why wouldn't I be a candidate to return to Raw and perhaps hook up with The King (Happy belated Birthday!) and the 'Vintage' Michael Cole? Jesse Ventura isn't the only old schooler who can be 'outspoken.'"

Powell's POV: I'm not a fan of three-man booths, so here's hoping they move Ross and Matt Striker to Raw, and Jerry Lawler to Smackdown, and Cole to, um, well, wherever I'll hear him the least. Hey, we're all allowed to dream.

-Ross on Steve "Dr. Death" Williams: "Steve 'Dr. Death' Williams latest PET Scan came back and indicated that the cancer in his Stoma was getting smaller. Doc has 6 more chemotherapy treatments to go. Hopefully this trend continues for Doc and your thoughts and prayers for him are greatly appreciated. Doc has amazing Faith and mental toughness and is 100% sure that he will beat cancer again. This is great news!!"

Powell's POV: Wow, that is great news. Don't forget that you can help Doc purchase a hands-free voice box device via WrestlersRescue.org.

-Ross on the next Legends Roundtable: "The next Legends Roundtable topic will be 'Southern Wrestling.' It talks about the Southern culture and how pro wrestling was presented and perceived back in the day and how it was different than pro wrestling in other regions. To me it was akin to the growth of NASCAR with its roots in the South and then how it has grown far beyond its original boundaries."

Powell's POV: Southern wrestling? I take it Vince McMahon isn't signing off on these On Demand topics. No complaints from me. That could be a fun show. Ross provided more details about the roundtable in his actual blog.

Other topics include a new round of reader Q&A's answered, upcoming J.R. appearances, tough competition for Raw, FREE SHIPPING on some BBQ items.
