WWE News: Jerry Lawler reveals a potential target date for Jim Ross's return, comments on whether Hulk Hogan signing with TNA has created a buzz within WWE

WWE broadcaster Jerry Lawler told the UK Sun that longtime friend and colleague Jim Ross might return on the biggest show of the year. "I texted him last night, and spoke with him this past week, and he's doing better but says it will probably be a few months before he's facially ready to be back on television... There's a strong possibility that WrestleMania could be when he makes a return."
Lawler was also asked whether Hulk Hogan signing with TNA has created a buzz in WWE. "I've told this to a lot of people, and I don't know if they believe it, but no one in the WWE ever talks about TNA," Lawler said. "There is no concern whatsoever. They don't acknowledge, think or worry about them, they're not even a blip on the radar screen. Even with Hulk Hogan, I don't think the WWE feel they are any threat at all." Powell's POV: Ross wrote in a recent blog that he could be a few months away. Even if he's ready before WrestleMania, it would still be a cool WrestleMania moment if the company held off his return until then. It's worth nothing that Ross's deal with the company expires next month, so there's no guarantee he'll be back.
As for Lawler's comments on TNA, there has been some talk within the company regarding Hogan signing. I don't get the sense that anyone feels this is the move that will put TNA over the top, but it was a big topic of discussion throughout the wrestling world when Hogan signed.
