WWE Smackdown: Two matches announced for next week's television show, the top stars don't want the WWE Unified Tag Titles
Nov 14, 2009 - 12:11 PM |
The following matches are advertised for next week's WWE Smackdown television show.
-Undertaker and Kane vs. Big Show and Chris Jericho.
-John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler in a best of three falls match for the Intercontinental Title.
Powell's POV: It's shaping up to be a strong go-home edition of the show heading into Survivor Series. I am frustrated by the way WWE is treating the Unified Tag Titles. One of the reasons they supposedly put the team of Edge and Jericho together was to beef up the tag division, but this appears to be the second time in two weeks that Show and Jericho won't defend the titles for no apparent reason.
How odd was it that last week's Raw guest host Ricky Hatton didn't like Jericho and Show, yet for some reason didn't force them to defend the titles against Shawn Michaels and Triple H? It sends the message that the tag titles are worthless when top acts like DX and Undertaker appear to have no interest in winning the belts. Heck, the same could be said for Monday's Raw main event with Show and Jericho vs. DX vs. Undertaker and John Cena in a three-way tag.
