Powell's POV: Shad missed the Smackdown prior to the Bragging Rights pay-per-view due to illness. There were reports that wrestlers were skeptical of the illness because it came on so quickly, but he posted a blog detailing his illness.

It's possible he was just joking when he made the swine flu tweet, but it's also possible that WWE officials weren't too happy with the original statement given that he's been so adamant in setting the record straight since then. There's my conspiracy theory moment of the day. Someone get Jesse Ventura on the case.
