WWE News
Ric Flair reveals the message inscribed on the watch he received from Shawn Michaels, didn't know what was planned for Raw
Apr 1, 2008 - 12:59 PM

Ric Flair was interviewed on Monday by WFNZ-radio in Charlotte. He was choked up at the beginning and emotional throughout the interview.

Flair on what took place in the locker room after the show: "Shawn Michaels came over to me after my match last night and he had a bag and he took out two boxes. He had two diamond Rolexes with a diamond-faced 24 for WrestleMania 24. One was mine and one is his. Mine says Richard Fleir, my real name, vs. Shawn Micahels 'To be the man.' And his says, 'Richard Fleir vs. Shawn Michaels: You gotta beat the man.'"

"And now they're doing something for me big on the show tonight. They won't tell me what it is. I'm sure I'll be cracked again... I have no idea. Vince told me to be here." To listen to the full interview, visit WFNZ.com.

Powell's POV: Great interview. I'm sure Flair figured out what was taking place once he got to the building, but it's cool to know that they kept the retirement ceremony a secret heading into Monday night.
