3/31 WWE Raw off-air notes: More on Ric Flair's ceremony, Heat tapings
Apr 1, 2008 - 12:11 AM

Dot Net reader Chris Ketchmark sent the following notes on Monday's show in Orlando, Fla.

1. Kofi Kingston defeated Kenny Dykstra with the Jamaican Buzzsaw.

2. Snitsky squashed James T. Flash with a pumphandle slam.

3. Paul Burchill (w/Katie Lea) defeated Val Venis with the curb stomp.

4. Charlie Haas defeated Super Crazy by submission. Charlie had a second set of tights on and removed the top set when donning his mask under the ring.

5. "The Canadian Bulldog" DH Smith defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan with a leverage pin with his feet on the ropes.

Notes: The crowd was hot all night. The Flair segment was an emotional spectacle. Following the live show cameras rolled so the entire segment will likely end up on DVD.

Undertaker came out to his full intro, including the wrestlers on the ramp parting in a sign of respect to him. He bowed to Flair in the ring like he used to with the urn.  After they embraced he joined the others at ringside.

On his way up the ramp, Flair was treated to bows from all the wrestlers.  He embraced Bob Holly, Stephanie McMahon-Levesque and John Laurinaitis.  Some wrestlers including Big Show, Taker, and Santino Marella were milling about the entrance-exit several minutes after Flair left.

Are you more likely to watch WWE Smackdown because Vince McMahon is advertised?
Yes. Big things tend to happen when Vince is on the show.
No. Advertising Vince won't change my viewing habits.
