Former WWE announcer and real iron man Mike Adamle update
Oct 15, 2009 - 09:43 AM |
Former WWE announcer Mike Adamle competed the elite Iron Man World Championship, which included a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile marathon. "This was the hardest thing I ever did," Adamle told the Chicago Tribune.
"The conditions were amazing, the tire made me adjust on the fly, but it was something special everybody should experience once." For more on the story, visit ChicagoTribune.com. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Jason Detrick.]
Powell's POV: That is very impressive. The story notes that Adamle finished in 14 hours, seven minutes, and 39 seconds. The event took place in Hawaii. Best of all, Adamle competed in the event to raise money and awareness for the Gridiron Greats charity.
