WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights.

-Ross on ridiculous rumors: “I wanted to properly celebrate my wife and my 16th Wedding Anniversary...plan and simple. Any one who is reporting any thing other than this is exposing themselves as being affiliated with a lame website and are inept, gossip mongers.”

Twill’s Two Cents: Ross even said he read somewhere that he could be appearing at TNA Bound for Glory. Seriously, I’m with JR on this one. Don’t report it if it isn’t true.

-Ross on Lou Albano: “Lou appearing in a Cyndi Lauper music video back in the day was nice exposure for Lou and WWE and put Captain Lou into pop culture awareness. Lou had many stints in WWE but always "came home" and we wish his family and friends our utmost condolences.”

Twill’s Two Cents: Albano was definitely a great “character,” as JR mentioned. I know times were different 25 years ago, but you would think personalities like Albano could still be utilized today to get talent over who cannot cut a very good promo.

-Ross on Ric Flair wrestling: “Speaking of "Naitch," some emailers have asked me my thoughts regarding the Hulk and company tour of Australia coming up soon. Why would I have any issues with it? I am for all wrestlers to earn the best income that they can no matter where it may be.”

Twill’s Two Cents: I agree with Ross here in his likely point of view that Flair, like anyone else, has the right to make his own decisions and make money anyway he can. I know a lot of people want to remember WrestleMania XXIV as Flair’s last match, but unfortunately for those people, that will probably not be the reality.

Other topics include Flair’s NWA Title belt auction, where he will be this weekend (and it will not be at Todd Grisham’s wedding), and the Von Erich children getting into wrestling.
