Jim Ross provides updates on why JBL was not at WWE Smackdown, whether Vickie Guerrero is coming back on a regular basis, and comments on the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view
Oct 2, 2009 - 10:50 AM |
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights.
-Ross on JBL: "JBL was unavailable to attend the 10 year SD show but he's doing great in business and life in general. John is playing golf this weekend at Pebble Beach...not bad for a country boy from West Texas. John's wife Merideth Whitney is featured in a great op-ed piece in Friday's Wall Street Journal."
Powell's POV: It's too bad JBL couldn't make the show. His title run and color commentary were definitely among the highlights of the show's 10-year run.
-Ross on Vickie Guerrero: "It looks as if Vickie Guerrero may be returning to Smackdown as a manager. More on that Friday night on Smackdown."
Powell's POV: It's no secret that Vickie appeared on camera. I'll keep the details quiet for those trying to avoid all spoilers, but the buzz is that we can expect to see more of Vickie on the Friday night show.
-Ross on Sunday's WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view: "Hell in a Cell this Sunday will be an adventure with three main events inside the Cell. I'm intriged as to how they will all have their own identity and look forward to the PPV."
Powell's POV: That will be the tricky part. The show looks strong on paper, though, and this has the potential to be a memorable show. Rich Twilling and I will have a lot to say about the show during today's Dot Net Weekly audio show on the Dot Net Members' site, and I'll be covering the show live here on Sunday night, so feel free to watch along with me or just check in for the results as they happen.
Other topics include pro wrestling managers, a potential show stealing match at Hell in a Cell, and his pick for Saturday's big Oklahoma vs. Miami game.
