WWE Smackdown superstar Matt Hardy explains his controversial Tweet
Sep 30, 2009 - 08:26 PM

Matt Hardy wrote "I am exhausted from being punished because of someone else's sins. Good night one, good night all!" on his Twitter page and received a lot of attention for it. Most people assumed the cryptic message had something to do with Jeff Hardy and the fact that Matt has not appeared on Smackdown in awhile.

Well, Matt came back today and wrote a blog on his MySpace page. He said he was referring to leaving a tip on a large meal that was paid for by the restaurant as he felt the current tip was not enough. He also said he made a bet with someone that the wrestling websites would pick up on it and that he won that bet.

Twill's Two Cents: For almost anyone else, this would make sense. For Hardy, he most likely planned the entire thing and received the exact reaction he wanted, even though he pretended to be annoyed in his blog. He comes across as petty because if you connect the two, the Tweet said he was "exhausted" over what was happening, so basically, he is saying that his peers frequently leave inadequate tips at restaurants.
