WWE ring announcer chimes in on the Lauren Mayhew story
Sep 30, 2009 - 04:35 PM

WWE ring announcer Justin Roberts chimed in on the original story that Lauren Mayhew was scolded and pulled from the show after the dark match. "SO funny (& disturbing) reading "news" on the Internet which is why I quit reading/watching any news. 90% is speculation and opinion, so 90 percent is false.

"Smackdown was AWESOME last night as it is every week. No scolding of any kind and everyone did the job they were booked to do." To read more tweets from Roberts, click here. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Agahzi]

Powell's POV: Just a reminder that the original story was credited to a sports reporter who works in the Boston area. He made an observation and posted the details in his wrestling blog. When the agency that represents Mayhew reached out to this website and explained what happened, an updated and corrected version of the story was run. Oh, and Smackdown is awesome every week? What a kiss ass.
