Lupo Entertainment, which represents Lauren Mayhew, contacted Dot Net this morning to dispute the correspondent's report that the new ring announcer was pulled from the Smackdown tapings on Tuesday. She was simply scheduled to serve as the ring announcer for the dark match at the tapings and therefore was not pulled from the show.

Powell's POV: It was explained to me that her role was similar to a wrestler working a dark match, so it was essentially a practice session for her.
