WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights.

-Ross on Ben Roethlisberger hosting WWE Raw: "Re: Big Ben next week....he's a fan...so what? Self righteous sports types should lighten up Francis. Roethlisberger deserves to have some fun, too."

Powell's POV: As I said in today's Dot Net "All Access" podcast, wouldn't the NFL media rather have Big Ben hosting Raw than drinking a few beers watching the Monday Night Football game? Of course, I'll be doing the latter because I'm going to the Packers vs. Vikings game on Monday night, but I always laugh at sports fans who act like athletes should do nothing but think about their sport 24/7.

-Ross on Bret Hart: "Is there a guarantee that Bret Hart is returning to WWE in ANY role? Not that I've heard but I would love to see Hitman make an appearance. Time will tell I guess."

Powell's POV: I'm holding out hope that he replaces Teddy Long as the new Smackdown general manager. It would be great for WWE fans, the brand, and The Hart Dynasty. Plus, hosting Smackdown would keep Hart away from Triple H and Shawn Michaels if that's still an issue.
