WWE spent an estimated $300,000 on fireworks alone for WrestleMania 24
Mar 30, 2008 - 10:58 AM |
WWE dished out an estimated $300,000 on fireworks alone for WrestleMania 24, according to a story in the Orlando Sentinel. The story states that the pyrotechnics will be set off from boats on a nearby lake. The story also notes that the city of Orlando is already gearing up to bring WrestleMania back to town in 2011 or 2012. Mayor Buddy Dyer told reporters earlier in the week that he'd like to bring the event back "every two years, every four years." To read the full story, visit OrlandoSentinel.com.
Powell's POV: Orlando city officials have done so well that Linda McMahon has stated that they have set the standard for attracting and hosting WrestleMania. She has told reporters that she hopes Orlando started a trend of city officials approaching WWE with pitches about bringing WrestleMania to town rather than WWE reaching out to various cities.
