WWE Raw onsite report: More details on Lilian Garcia's final night on the job and what happened after most people left the building
Sep 22, 2009 - 04:32 PM

Dot Net reader Dale Ramsey attended the WWE Raw taping in Little Rock, Ark. on Monday and passed along the following report.

We were a few rows behind the ring bell area and had a great view most of the night. The crew was joking around with Lilian Garcia most of the night and she got hugs from Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole as they left after the live broadcast. The stuff previously mentioned with DX and John Cena, including her in the "Suck It" routine, was great.

As we were waiting for the crowd to disperse, we saw the crew giving her hugs and they started to play the "Time of Your Life" song from Dirty Dancing over the loudspeakers, which caused my girlfriend Trish and friend Brandon to say, "No one puts Lilian in the corner." Lilian had a big laugh at that, and they brought her fiance (I'm guessing) over the rail and they did a little slow dance in the ring. She gave out a few more hugs to people at ringside that were left and made her way to the back.

I just wanted say i have been to two live Raws and Lilian makes the shows more enjoyable. I know a lot of people have cracked on her for the occasional misspeak or mistake, but she is undervalued in one respect. She always takes the time to acknowledge every single person she hears yell her name with a wave or a blown kiss, is always smiling, and really seems to enjoy being there.

It's a small thing that makes a big difference as it keeps people interested in the show between commercials and leaves them with a good memory. I for one will miss her being there and I hope whoever they get to replace her in that role will be able to do half the job she could with her interactions with the fans. I wish her the best of luck with her future and hopefully we will see her again someday on Raw.
