Will Jerry Lawler leave WWE Raw if he is elected Mayor of Memphis?
Sep 17, 2009 - 10:01 AM |
Jim Ross believes Jerry Lawler would continue to serve as the WWE Raw color commentator if he is elected mayor. "My guess is that if Jerry Lawler is elected Mayor of Memphis that the King will continue his role on Monday Night Raw," Ross wrote on Wednesday.
"I can see some PR and marketing value for Memphis with their Mayor appearing on global TV on a weekly basis. Lawler's political opponents might disagree with that assessment. This race is still wide open." To read the full blog, visit JRsBarBQ.com.
Powell's POV: The early word was that Lawler would give up his WWE job if he were elected, but J.R. seems to believe that has changed. It will be interesting to see if Lawler's political opponents question him on this issue in hopes of creating doubts regarding his dedication to the mayor job.
