WWE star Cody Rhodes admitted to the Busted Open radio show that he preferred the NWA to the WWF when he was growing up. "So many other talents my age grew up watching the WWF and grew up watching The Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, and Randy Savage - excellent performers," Rhodes said. "But there was more of an edge to the NWA, and I'm glad that I can carry that edge on over because that's what I like and what I try to be like."

Rhodes also revealed that he was not given a free copy of "The Rise and Fall of WCW" on DVD. "I was real hot about this," Rhodes said. "Normally our company will give them out. I did not receive one from talent relations, and I asked why. I asked why did I get a DVD and I was told, 'Well, you lived this." Yeah, I was around for some of the stuff, but I didn't live it."

Powell's POV: It's only natural that Cody would grow up watching more of the promotion his father booked and starred in than the old WWF. He admitted that Ric Flair and Tully Blanchard were some of his favorites.
