WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights.

-Ross on which match he expects to main event WWE SummerSlam: "What match will close the show at Summerslam? Me thinks it will be John Cena challenging Randy Orton for the WWE Title. I'm smelling a Cena victory here but my predictions usually aren't wager worthy."

Powell's POV: Keep Ross away from the sports book on Monday night in Vegas if his predictions aren't wager worthy. I'd hate to see Vegas take over J.R.'s Bar-B-Q. As for the SummerSlam headliner, I'd rather see Jeff Hardy vs. C.M. Punk close the show, but my guess is that Cena sends the crowd home happy with another WWE Championship win, whereas my pick of Punk winning would not have the same effect.

-Ross on Freddie Prinze Jr.: "I thought Freddie Prinze, Jr did an excellent job as the Guest Host of Raw and I'm sure that FPJ will be talking about the inverted backbreaker that he sustained for years to come with his Hollywood pals. Freddie is a true fan of which I respect. I wish I had gotten to know him better when he was on the creative team with WWE but we traveled different trails during the hectic TV days when I would see him. Nonetheless, FPJ is 2nd only to Shaq as my favorite Guest Host of Monday Night Raw."

Powell's POV: Freddie was very good in this role. They kept his appearances to a minimum, but he made the most out of them. Nice job.

-Ross on Floyd Mayweather: "Next week, the uber talented and charismatic Floyd 'Money' Mayweather will look to steal the show in Money's home town of Las Vegas. Perhaps the SD team will produce our solitary, WWE Superstars bout in Vegas Monday night and yours truly can enjoy Raw in person. Hey, we got to visit Calgary for a few minutes before we enjoyed a lovely 3 hour drive to Edmonton."

Powell's POV: Mayweather was great in his role at WrestleMania 24, so it will be fun to see his next WWE chapter play out.
