Chris Jericho comments on his return to WWE, says he’s treated better by the company this time around
Mar 26, 2008 - 12:30 PM

Chris Jericho commented on his decision to return to wrestling following a long layoff during an interview with Between The Ropes on Tuesday. “I’m definitely enjoying it more this time,” Jericho said. “I started wrestling at 19 and wrestling was my life for so long. Coming back after the break and kind of clearing my mind and working on some of the other projects that I’ve worked on and kind of having my family where it’s at right now, it seems like it’s just easier this time. The ideas come easier.

“There’s a different attitude from the company toward me, as well. I’m not saying it wasn’t good before, but the fact is there’s only so many guys on this roster who have the amount experience that I have, and have the thought process that I have. You know, that makes a big difference. I think at this point and time, the more of us around the better it is. And the more that we’re kind of listened to and our thoughts and suggestions are processed a little differently. It’s refreshing.”

Jericho also comments on Big Show's punch, creating the concept for the Money in the Bank match, and the rerelease of his Fozzy’s first album. To listen to the full interview, visit BetweenTheRopes.com.

Powell’s POV: It sounds like the big difference this time around is that Jericho is a trusted veteran who has been through the company once before, whereas he entered the company as a young, former WCW wrestler last time.

He also said ladder matches are like playing the guitar in that you have to be artistic and come up with new things. He sounded excited about the Money in the Bank ladder match and said he has a lot of ideas in mind.
