** FCW Crowns New Champion**

Tampa, Fl – August 13, 2009

This is breaking news coming out of the FCW Arena from tonight’s record-breaking 50th TV Taping! In an enthralling main event match, which pitted FCW Heavyweight Champion Tyler Reks against challenger Heath Slater, the FCW crowd were treated to a classic encounter which ultimately saw Heath Slater’s hand raised and a new champion crowned. Slater, who in recent weeks has shown an uncompromising mean streak, thus alienating much of his fan base, gained the victory by pinfall. A jubilant Slater told FCW insiders after the match that as far as he is concerned, he has always been the champion, but now nobody can argue with him!

Well this Saturday, August 15th, at the Dade City Armory, there will certainly be one man looking to argue with him, because Heath Slater will be making his first FCW Heavyweight Title defense against number one contender, Joe Hennig. Fans will recall that Slater and Hennig were once a formidable team in FCW, holding the FCW Tag Titles for a considerable period earlier in the year. However, the relationship soured and Slater’s recent attitude change has left a lot of bad blood between the pair. Hennig, who is the son of WWE Hall-of-Famer, Mr Perfect, has previously held the FCW Heavyweight crown and would love nothing more than to take the title from his former partner on Saturday night in Dade City. With both men fired up and raring to go, FCW fans are sure to be treated to an almighty battle at the Dade City Armory this Saturday!

The action-packed show will also feature FCW’s top stars such as tag team champions Bo and Duke Rotunda, Brett DiBiase and the beautiful FCW Divas!
