Triple H on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" recap: A second report on the WWE star's appearance on the NBC talk show
Aug 12, 2009 - 12:33 PM |
Adam Wright of TVDoneWright.com sent the following recap of WWE star Triple H's appearance on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Triple H came out to a full entrance, with smoke and “All Hail to the King” played by The Roots. Really well done. Immediately, Jimmy Fallon talked about SummerSlam. Triple H hyped it is the second biggest event of the year, and Fallon said it was like the “Wrestlemania of the summer”.
Hunter mentioned it featured the return of DX, and which Fallon asked who they were challenging. "Two new guys called Legacy, teamed with Randy Orton," Hunter said. Ouch! Didn’t even mention their names.
Other highlights of the interview was Hunter swearing on the air (Think Twitter). Pretty funny. Finally, Triple H mentioned in the new WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2010 game coming out, the character Jimmy Fallon would be a downloadable character. And they showed highlights of the game with Fallon. I was very impressed by Fallon. He really is a big fan, and even Ashton Kutcher said he was. Maybe two future guest hosts for Raw?
Powell's POV: Given the connection with WWE and NBC/Universal, Fallon would be a logical guest host if they can work things out from a scheduling standpoint. Kutcher would be a lot of fun and would rank behind only Shaquille O'Neal as the biggest celebrity name. Okay, so he's no Bob Barker, but who is? Sure as hell not Drew Carey!
