Dot Net reader Rod Stetzer of Eau Claire, Wisc. caught the WWE Raw footage that aired on ESPN SportsCenter and filed the following report.

ESPN's Sportscenter featured Shaq on WWE on Tuesday morning. I watched two reports, both about 10 minutes before the top of the hour. One was shorter than the other. The longer version had clips of Shaq throughout the whole Raw show, including the bits with Hornswoggle and Santino Marella.

They even included the comebacks quips by Chris Jericho and Big Show. Of course, it aired the chokeslam confrontation. This longer clip aired after a report on cheese rolling in England. Cohost Reece Davis pronounced the Shaq clip as a little bit cheesy, but otherwise was respectful of the appearance. Perhaps that's because ESPN is owned by ABC, which airs Shaq's reality show in August.

Powell's POV: One of the ESPN clips features one of the hosts taking a shot at the WWE creative team and accusing them of ripping off an ESPN commercial, which is accurate. Nevertheless, I'm sure WWE is thrilled to score mainstream publicity even though they routinely boast in the "Did You Know" graphics about beating ESPN programming in the ratings.
