Television talk show host Regis Philbin told a story this morning about having dinner with Vince and Linda McMahon over the weekend. Dot Net reader John DeMeo of Somerville, Mass. reports:

"I just happened to be be watching 'Live with Regis and Kelly,' and Regis Philbin started telling a story of how he had dinner with Vince and Linda McMahon over the weekend. He mentioned how intimidating he is and how he walks. He showed a picture of his first talk show guest in the '60s was The Destroyer. Kelly suggested people email in Regis' ring name if he became a wrestler. They did a nice job, especially Regis, in the brief story putting over the wrestlers as entertainers."

Powell's POV: I just the caught the local airing of the show. Regis joked that people in the restaurant assumed Vince is grooming him to become the next Hulk Hogan. A short segment, but it was funny.
