WWE brings back a pay-per-view name it recently dropped
Jul 7, 2009 - 08:54 AM |
WWE has apparently scrapped plans to hold "WWE Annihilation" on Oct. 25. Although the new pay-per-view name had been listed on the WWE website recently, the schedule once again lists "WWE Cyber Sunday" in its place. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk.]
Powell's POV: Annihilation was originally slated to replace Cyber Sunday. The other new names they are using have themes, whereas Annihilation sounds very generic. That said, I've never been a fan of the Cyber Sunday concept because the company leads the fans to vote for specific matches rather than use it as an opportunity to get a real feel for what the fans want to see.
