WWE News: Matt Hardy surgery update and how long he'll be sidelined
Jul 6, 2009 - 01:08 PM |
Matt Hardy underwent abdominal surgery on July 2, according to the UK Sun. He will be out between eight and ten weeks. Although Hardy has yet to comment specifically on the surgery, he did update his Myspace page the day before surgery.
"The Hurdle awaits," Hardy wrote. "And I'm ready to cross it, jump it, or plow over it. Either way, I'm excited to enter into a new, better, chapter of my life and career. A chapter that I've waited for many years to finally write, and the time is now... Get ready, cause when I re-debut on Smackdown, nothing's gonna stop me in the ring or in life." Powell's POV: Tough break for Hardy, who had just made a full recovery from his hand injury. It will be interesting to see whether WWE gives Hardy an on-air role on Smackdown while he's recovering. Either way, it's cool to read that he's so motivated despite his latest setback.
