Jim Ross on Randy Orton vs. Triple H, C.M. Punk vs. Jeff Hardy at The Bash, John Morrison, why he will not be attending Todd Grisham's wedding
Jun 24, 2009 - 02:55 PM

Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights.

Ross on Monday's Triple H vs. Randy Orton match: "I thought HHH vs. Orton was one helluva match Monday night for the record. Big time execution and physicality. Love the physical nature of the business but that's easy for me to say as I only have to try and describe it.....BROTHER!!"

Twill's Two Cents: It was a good match, but Orton and Hunter did not set the bar too high for themselves, so Monday's match was definitely their best in recent memory.

Ross on C.M. Punk vs. Jeff Hardy at The Bash: "The Jeff Hardy challenge to World's Champ C.M. Punk is really gathering steam. I actually like the deliberate evolution of Punk's persona and his subtleties are on point in my view because they are not being rushed along. This first ever one on one meeting and with it being on PPV should encourage these two natural performers to raise the bar this Sunday and I expect this match to rock."

Twill's Two Cents: I agree completely. Well said.

Ross on John Morrison: "John Morrison is starting to separate himself from the pack of young talents who want to elevate to the next level and Morrison's bout this Friday night against C.M. Punk is a damn good one."

Twill's Two Cents: I always thought Morrison's character was better suited for a babyface, while The Miz was more of a natural heel. Morrison has taken this opportunity and completely run with it, both on the mic and in the ring.

Ross on why he will not attend Todd Grisham's wedding: "Of course, the Mrs. and I have been invited to the wedding but it, unfortunately, takes place on Saturday October 17 in the Northeast and I will be in Dallas that day for the Oklahoma vs. Texas college football game. Hey, a man has to have his priorities and Todd and his new bride will receive a nice gift from the Ross'. Nonetheless I wouldn't miss an OU-UT game to attend the wedding of one of my own family members."

Twill's Two Cents: Hilarious. I love (and believe) his line about missing a family member's wedding in favor of an OU vs. UT football game.

Other topics include Chris Jericho telling the story of the night he won a backstage fight with Goldberg, plus his opinion of Donald Trump, mask vs. title, and Gerald Brisco.
