Teddy Long announces at the end of this week's WWE Smackdown that there will be a Triple Threat match on Monday's Raw for the World Hvt. Championship. C.M. Punk will defend the title against Edge and Jeff Hardy. [Thanks to the U.K. readers who passed along the info]

Powell's POV: Coming out of the Smackdown taping, it appeared that Punk would face Edge in a singles match because Edge beat Hardy by DQ in the Smackdown main event that was to determine which wrestler would challenge Punk on Monday. However, in a video that did not air for the live crowd at the taping, Long made the announcement that it would be a Triple Threat match. I'm looking forward to that match more than anything on Monday's show, but I must say that it makes the stipulation for the Smackdown main event seem rather pointless.
