Jim Ross comments on the possibility of TNA invading WrestleMania, Steve Austin, WWE Hall of Fame
Mar 18, 2008 - 03:54 PM

Jim Ross updated the Q&A section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights.

Ross on the possibility of TNA invading WrestleMania 24: “I suppose TNA could attempt some sort of ‘grandstand’ publicity stunt at WM24 but it’s not likely.”

Powell’s POV: I'd be stunned. I don’t think TNA would stoop to that level. It’s one thing to perform stunts in the parking lot or even the arena concourse at WWE events, but to actually “invade” and disrupt the biggest pay-per-view event of the year would make them look lowbrow more than anything.

Ross on the odds of Hulk Hogan facing Ric Flair at WrestleMania 24: “Hulk vs. Flair isn’t going to happen at WM24. Hulk though is a master of milking the media and getting fans talking.”

Ross on the likelihood of Steve Austin returning to the ring: “Austin’s in ring wrestling days are history. However I do see Steve coming back onto TV from time to time for the right reasons.”

Ross on bringing back all the Hall of Fame inductees: “I think, and have suggested, thatall the living WWE HOFers should be invited back each year especially next year at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania.”

Powell’s POV: Great idea. The pro football and baseball hall of fames invite past hall of famers back each year and it would add to the legitimacy of the event if WWE followed suit, particularly for the show’s silver anniversary.

Ross on WWE building an actual Hall of Fame: “I do think the WWE will erect an official WWE Hall of Fame someday. This has been discussed internally for years. When this will happen or where it will be are questions I don’t have answers for.”
