WWE News: Ric Flair says he's finished wrestling in the United States and for WWE, but will return to the ring overseas, also comments on WWE pulling him from the ROH show
May 31, 2009 - 10:20 AM |
Ric Flair said he doesn't plan to diminish his WrestleMania 24 sendoff. "Don’t worry about that ... I’m never going to wrestle again here. It’s not going to happen,” Flair told Mike Mooneyham of the Charleston Post and Courier. However, Flair added that he has plans to wrestle overseas on a tour. "I don’t think anyone could begrudge me for throwing my gear on (overseas)," he said.
Flair also commented on WWE pulling him from the ROH show. "“I just can’t work for two people," Flair said. "It doesn’t make sense... It would be hypocritical if I tried to do both. I just told the truth. You can’t go wrong telling the truth. My loyalty is with WWE, and that’s where I’m at." To read the full story, visit PostAndCourier.com.
Powell's POV: As reported on Friday, I assume Flair will be returning to work for the Nu Wrestling Evolution promotion, as he is listed for South African shows beginning in late September. He was not officially listed as wrestling on those events, but that meshes with the tour plans that have been discussed.
