John Cena says WWE critics are ignorant
May 26, 2009 - 11:15 AM

John Cena said a bias against WWE led to criticism of his latest movie 12 Rounds from critics who didn't even see the movie. "I've had to fight that battle my entire career," Cena told the UK Sun. "Vince McMahon has been fighting that battle since he took the company global. It's personal ignorance.

"People don't know how good we are as entertainers. They don't know how good we are as people in the media. The only way we can silence those voices is by putting together a good product. We've done that with 12 Rounds." To read the full interview, visit the UK Sun.

Powell's POV: As I've noted before, Cena's latest flick is the best WWE Studios release to date. However, WWE also leaves themselves open to criticism with the horrendous state of the Monday Night Raw program. I'm sure there are plenty of critics who couldn't wait to bash the movie because it was a WWE Studios release, but the bigger problem is that the flick bombed at the box office.
