Lawsuit filed against WWE over independent contractor status dismissed

A federal judge dismissed the lawsuit filed against World Wrestling Entertainment by former wrestlers Scott Levy (a/k/a Raven), Chris Klucsaritis (a/k/a Kanyon), and Mike Sanders. Powell's POV: It baffles me that WWE performers can be labeled as independent contractors given how much hold the company has over them, but the judge sided with the company in this case. This is obviously a big victory for the WWE legal team, as a loss would have opened the flood gates for additional lawsuits.
