Dot Net reader provides more information regarding Chris Jericho's physical altercation with fans following a WWE event, says Jericho struck the female fan
Feb 8, 2009 - 05:11 AM

Dot Net reader Matt Patterson (a/k/a Kayfabe Wow) provided additional details regarding the physical altercation that took place between Chris Jericho and multiple fans following the WWE house show in Victoria, B.C. on Saturday:

"They actually went at it twice," Patterson writes. "The first time he pie-faced her, and the second time he punched her in the head and then used his forearm to shove her down and away from him before backing off and looking at others. He did it rather quickly and the cellphone video that is on YouTube is pretty grainy, but I am 100 percent positive that is what happened, as I was literally right there (I was standing literally right in front of Jericho beside his rental)."

Powell's POV: I sought clarification from Matt because it appeared from watching the video that Jericho took a swing at the female fan, but it was not definitive. It's clear from the various reports I've read that another fan provoked Jericho, but it should go without saying that it was wrong of Jericho to strike a female fan. Our correspondent also noted that a police report was filed. For Matt's full recap of the events, check out his initial report in the WWE News section. You can also watch video footage of a portion of the incident at Youtube.com.
